‘Colne Picture Show is a brand new festival celebrating short films. Hosted at the beautiful Little Savoy, we hope to create an intimate and personable experience for filmmakers new and old. With filmmakers invited to host a short Q&A before each showing, this will be a night not to miss!
Colne Picture Show is not just about showcasing films but also creating a space for the future of cinema.
We hope to help bloom the next generation of artists.
Each selected film will be shown at our live event and will be featured on our website!’
Awards & Prizes
Audience Prize - Awarded in person on the day of screening to the highest rated film, judged by our esteemed audience members.
There will be a winner for each category that will be announced on our social medias and website, will an official digital laurel available for all winners.
Rules & Terms
1. Production Year - film must have been completed after January 1st 2025.
2. Films must be in English or have English subtitles.
3. Usage Right - The participant declares and guarantees that he/she is the holder of all usage rights necessary for the use of the film in the context of this agreement and that he/she is in a position to effectively grant War of Films these rights. The participant guarantees that by using the film in the context of this agreement, no rights of third parties, including persons depicted in the film, are infringed. The festival is not responsible for any legal action that may occur for infringing these rights.
4. Our goal is to promote your work. By registering, you agree that we can send press releases about your project to distributors and festivals to promote your work.
5. Short Films do not need to retain any sort of premiere status. Short Films do not forfeit their eligibility for submission to the Festival if they were previously released theatrically or via any home video platform, broadcast or streamed on television or the internet, or screened at any number of film festivals anywhere in the world.
